It is not a cage

Can a mother cat and her kittens live in it?
Yes, that is one of its uses: in M or L, a cushion and a small litter tray fit inside, and the closed top keeps the kittens from wandering off.
Can it be left outdoors?
In the garden or when camping, in fine weather, in the shade and under your supervision. The manufacturer does not say it is waterproof: bring it in when it rains.
How do I clean it?
Shake it and vacuum the floor; for a stain, hand wash in warm soapy water and let it dry unfolded.
