How to get started

1. "Charge" the clicker: click, then immediately give a treat, about ten times in a row. Your dog will understand that click = reward.
2. Ask for a simple action (sit): click at the exact moment they perform it, then reward.
3. Keep training sessions short, around 5 minutes, and always end on a successful note.

For a sensitive animal, start by clicking inside your pocket or with your arm extended away from them, which makes the sound softer.
