A cat watching a bird can jump or slip from a balcony or an open window. This safety net closes the opening: your cat enjoys the air and the view without being able to get through. The knotted nylon net can be cut to the size of your balcony or window; screw hooks, wall plugs and cord are included.

Which size to choose?

Measure the height and width of the opening to close, keeping a small margin for fixing. The 3 x 4 m is enough for a window or a small balcony; the 3 x 8 m covers a long balcony or a loggia. Cut off the excess with scissors, right next to the knots.

How to install it

1. Unfold the net: it arrives folded into a diamond shape; gently pull on its four corners to get the rectangle back.
2. Screw the hooks all around the opening (walls, ceiling, floor or railing), into the wall plugs provided.
3. Thread the cord through the edge mesh, hang the net on the hooks and pull it taut, leaving no gap your cat could slip through.

Check the tension and the fixings from time to time, especially after strong wind. Until the opening is fully closed, do not leave your cat alone outside. Once the window is secure, our window hammock gives your cat a lookout post.

White or black?
Black is usually more discreet and blocks the view less; white blends in with a light facade or window frame.

Do I need to drill?
Yes, to fit the hooks into their wall plugs. If you rent, ask your landlord first.

Do I need permission in an apartment building?
A net on a balcony can be seen from the street, and building rules may regulate anything that changes the facade. Check with your building management before installing it.

Can my cat damage it?
A cat that scratches or chews the mesh will wear it down over time: check the net regularly and replace it if it is damaged.
