This double-sided dematting rake does the work of two tools. On one side, a few widely spaced blades detangle knots and mats; on the other, tighter teeth remove the dead undercoat that sheds all over the house. For a dog or cat with a thick coat, grooming becomes faster and the coat lighter.

How to use it

1. Always brush in the direction of hair growth, in small sections, without pressing down.
2. For a knot, use the side with the spaced-out blades and move forward gently, holding the base of the hair so as not to pull on the skin.
3. Then, use the side with the tight teeth to remove the dead undercoat.
4. Remove the hair accumulated between the teeth as you go.

Does it cut the hair?
The blades slice through knots to undo them; on hair without knots, the rake only removes dead undercoat. Move forward gently and without forcing.

Is it suitable for short-haired animals?
It is designed for thick coats and dense undercoats. For short, smooth hair, a soft brush or a grooming glove is better suited.

How often should it be used?
Once or twice a week is enough during normal times, more often during spring and autumn shedding.
