A warm neck, even for a short-haired dog
Whippet, greyhound, galgo, pointer or Doberman: short-haired, long-necked dogs feel the cold from the first frosts. This fleece coat rises high on the neck and reaches down to the base of the tail, keeping the back and sides warm. It slips on over the head; the high neck and the band under the chest hold it in place.

Which size should I choose?
Measure the chest just behind the front legs, and the back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Several buyers find it runs a little small: between two sizes, take the larger one.

Is it waterproof?
No: it is a fleece, made for dry cold. In the rain it gets wet; add a raincoat on top or choose a water-repellent coat.
Which breeds is it for?

How do I wash it?
Fleece washes well at 30 °C: turn it inside out, then let it dry flat, away from the radiator.
Why does a sighthound feel the cold more than other dogs?
Little fat, a short coat with no undercoat, a long neck and a deep chest: a whippet or a greyhound loses heat fast, and a standard coat matching its chest girth would be too short along the back.
