Hair growing between the pads makes your dog slide on hardwood floors and tiles, brings mud and litter into the house, and allows grass awns to attach in the summer. This paw trimmer clips them flush with the pads in minutes, with a small cutting head that reaches where a standard clipper cannot. It is suitable for both dogs and cats.

For which areas?

Between the pads and around the contour of the paws, around the eyes, at the edge of the ears, and on the intimate area: everywhere a large clipper is bulky and scissors are risky. For trimming the entire body, a standard grooming clipper remains more suitable.

How to use it

1. Charge the trimmer before first use.
2. Choose a quiet moment, after a walk for example, and let your pet smell the device, off and then on.
3. Gently spread the pads and pass the cutting head flat, without pressing.
4. Cut only the hair that sticks out: never trim the pads themselves.
5. Reward your pet, and prefer several short sessions if they are anxious.

Is it noisy?
No. The manufacturer claims about 45 dB, roughly the sound of a refrigerator.

Is it suitable for cats?
Yes. It is practical for long-haired cats (Maine Coon, Persian...), whose hair between the pads traps litter.

What is the difference between the two models?
The model with LED light illuminates the cutting area: useful for dark coats or in a dark room. The classic model is thinner. Both are USB rechargeable.

Can it hurt my pet?
The cutting head is small and its teeth are rounded, according to the manufacturer. Hold it flat, do not force, and never trim the pads themselves. If in any doubt (redness, wound), seek advice from your veterinarian.

Does it help against grass awns?
Short hair between the pads offers less grip for grass awns, which are common from May to September. It does not replace a paw inspection after every walk.

How do I charge it?
With the provided USB cable, using a phone charger or a computer. A full charge takes about 3 hours, according to the manufacturer.

How often should I trim the paws?
As soon as the hair starts sticking out from the pads again, usually every 4 to 6 weeks depending on growth.
