Is my dog small enough?
Measure him curled up: he must fit within 36 × 32 cm. When he sits, his head rises above the edge, which is normal: he can look outside.

Should I also secure him?
Yes: always secure your dog by his harness (never by the collar), for example with a dog car seat belt. The seat holds him in place, the belt restrains him.

Front or back seat?
Preferably in the back. In the front, deactivate the passenger airbag if your car allows it.
