Which pet is it for?

For cats and small or medium dogs fed on kibble. One portion weighs 6 to 10 g depending on the kibble size, so 55 to 90 g per meal at most: enough for a cat or a dog of about fifteen kilos, not for a large dog. Wet food and kibble larger than 1.8 cm are not suitable.

Setting it up

1. Plug in the adapter, add 3 AA batteries under the device if you want a backup, and set the time.
2. Fill the container with dry kibble and lock the lid.
3. Choose up to 4 meal times and the number of portions for each; serve a test meal and weigh it to adjust to the daily amount on the food bag.

Do I need an app?
No: everything is set on the screen, with the buttons. The device has no Wi-Fi and no camera, and nothing to install on your phone.

What about a power cut?
With 3 AA batteries fitted, it keeps working. They are backup batteries: one customer notes they run down quickly when the device isn't plugged in. Keep it on mains power day to day.

Can I use wet food?
No: it is designed for dry kibble up to 1.8 cm.

How do I clean it?
The lid, container and bowl come apart and wash in soapy water; the base, which holds the motor, is wiped with a damp cloth and must never be soaked.

My dog vomits bile in the morning: can splitting its meals help?
Often, yes: early-morning bilious vomiting comes from a stomach left empty too long, and a veterinary study improved most dogs with more frequent meals, including one late in the evening.
